Monday Blues

Like it or not, your appearance plays a very important role in your success in the modern world. “The problem with appearance is that it translates to performance,” says Nicole Williams. It’s Sunday night and the last thing you want to think about is what you are going to wear tomorrow. It’s bad enough that tomorrow is Monday, right? After a work-free weekend comes Monday; the day people feel sad because the weekend fun ends and everyone has to get back to work.

In today’s world it is equally important for men and women to dress well. Monday is the day everyone wants to rest but unfortunately they have to dress up and go to work. It is said that our dressing sense affect’s people’s opinions about us. The way we dress up should make a long lasting impression on whoever we meet. One must focus on investing in good clothes which help you look smart. One must know how to shop smart. Before shopping you should always look at our current wardrobe. Find pieces that you can wear to work, then shop for fillers. This is also one way of spending less by using what you currently possess. Monday’s at work are so boring for almost everyone. Color blocking is one way women can avoid boredom. For men it can be wearing dark shades so that your Monday does not look boring to you. The specifics of dresses for men and women are described as follows:-

When it comes to suits, women must wear pants or skirts with matching jacket. Men must match their pants with the jacket they wear. As for color, navy, charcoal gray and black are all acceptable. Patterns, if any, should be muted. Choose a conservative style that is versatile. When it comes to ties you should buy quality ties. The ones made with 100% silk and which are stain resistant. These ties do not wrinkle. The patterns can be Geometric, diagonal stripe, small to medium dotted, or solid tie. When it comes to colors, always choose the ones which enhance your appearance and do not overpower it. Some general rules which are to be kept in mind are:-

  1. Every individual must understand what clothes are appropriate in their industry. Everyone draws their lines differently. For example, you may be able to wear shorts, but not cut-offs. If your company has a dress code, follow it.
  2. Make sure your clothes fit you. Many people may find it too obvious to list but many get it wrong. If your clothes are too big or too small, they are not going to look good. Ensuring a proper fit applies to everything you are wearing.
  3. Wear rich colors to portray authority. Pay attention to your color choices.Darker colorrs usually convey a stronger impression than lighter ones.
  4. Avoid neon colours and overly flashy clothes. Both men and women have to be cautious with bright colors.Clothes that are too flashy can be distracting and the visual equivalent of shouting.

These were some defined ways to look good and also avoid Monday blues and enjoy the Monday’s which used to be boring earlier.
